Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant continues to increase direct contacts and to promote cooperation between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries.
During February – May 2018 application period, Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant received a total of 86 applications from both countries. We are delighted to announce that in this round, thanks to the support of the UK Government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund, the Hrant Dink Foundation in partnership with Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre will be offering support in the form of a travel grant to a total of 24 individuals – 5 from Armenia, 19 from Turkey – for their visits to the neighbouring country with specific purpose and programme.

Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant 15th Round Grantees
Yahya Akgün from Istanbul, an actor at Istanbul State Theatre, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevanfor conducting a research for his script about the prominent Shakespearean role player Vahram Papazyan, including his first steps towards his artistic career and the farewell to the Turkish stage.
Zaruhi Hovhannisyan from Yerevan, a senior lecturer at Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Istanbul for meeting with representatives of theatre institutes and universities to discuss the opportunity of developing partnership and student exchanges between Armenia and Turkey.
Nıvart Karin Ataoğlu, Havva Kangal Erdoğan, Silvia Dağcı Duman and İsabel Gültop, teachers at Karagyozyan Armenian Schooland Arek Bedikyan, Dença Silahlı and Nare Nayir Güleç, students of the same school from Istanbul, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for meeting with the students and teachers at Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educomplex to build experiential learning environments.
Nazife Esra Çiğdem , Ergül Varış , Emine Akpınar and Çiğdem Asiye Now from Istanbul , volunteers at Tarlataban Community of Boğazici University , will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan to study environmentally-friendly agricultural practices in Armenia in cooperation with International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education Foundation (ICARE) .
Begüm Sönmez from Eskişehir, a research assistant at Anadolu University, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for conducting research at Modern Art Museum of Yerevan on Armenian contemporary art as part of his doctoral thesis.
Meryem Aydın , Zeynep Kurtuldu , Nensi Güzeliş and Gencay Adıgüzel from Istanbul , the founders of Living Learning Center-YAŞÖM and Sokakta Art Var (Art On The Street) Association, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for participating in an exchange program for social entrepreneurs from Armenia and Turkey in cooperation with “Future in Our Hands” Youth NGO .
Lilit Musinyan, Zaruhi Danielyan and Artur Kikoyan from Yerevan, representatives of International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education Foundation (ICARE) and Yerevan State University, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Istanbul for studying the urban agricultural models practiced in Turkey in cooperation with Tarlataban Community of Boğazici University.
Bihter Esener from Istanbul, a PhD candidate in Koc University, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevanfor participating in Armenian Studies Summer School by ARMACAD.
Armine Galstyan from Armavir, a program director at Armenia Startup Academy, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Istanbul for meeting with different accelerators and co-working spaces to build partnerships and negotiate on exchange activities between the Startups of Armenia and Turkey.
Minji Lee from Istanbul will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Dilijan as a camp counselor for “Just Dilijan It!”summer camp.
