The Hrant Dink Foundation has established the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme with a view to promote cross-border affiliation and cooperation of professionals from the two neighboring countries within the framework of the programmed Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalization Process financed by the European Union. The Fellowship Scheme offers 18 professionals from Armenia and Turkey the opportunity to live and follow a special programmed at a specific Host Organization in the neighboring country for 4 to 8 months. There were applications from individuals who also proposed their own project ideas, other than the fellowship opportunities offered by the listed Host Organizations.

The Fellowship Scheme aims to enable cross-border learning opportunities in areas where further exchange of expertise and lasting cooperation is much needed, such as academiacivil societymediaculture and arts, translation and interpreting/language-learning and law.

63 organizations from Turkey, 25 from Armenia offered fellowship programs for the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme. The Fellowship Scheme, which started accepting applications in June 2014, received 36 applications from Turkey55 from Armenia.

As stated in the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme Regulation with regard to the selection process, the applications have been redirected to Host Organizations and to the independent Selection Committee. Fellows, who have been chosen in line with the selection criteria and priorities outlined in the Regulation, is announced in October.

During the period between October 2014 and May 2015, 18 professionals from both countries will arrive in the neighboring country and begin their programs.
