Ecem Baykuş from Ankara and Miray Özturan from Istanbul, were supported with the Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan, to produce visual pieces about LGBTI people’s daily life and later on to exhibit them in Yerevan and İstanbul along with similar visuals from Turkey.

“The ice skating rink in the center of the city was our favorite place which is really close to the opera building and which is a place that we define as the hearth of the city. It’s really impressive that all the people from 7 years to 70 years old were encouraged to do this sport. It’s fun to watch too, even if you can’t do it.”

“People helped us with many subjects and they were generally friendly. We got better reactions than we expected, especially to us, two young people walking around with cameras in hands and taking their pictures.”
