Thirteenth Round Results

Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant continues to increase direct contacts and to promote cooperation between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries.

During August-October 2017 application period, Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant received a total of 46 applications from both countries. We are delighted to announce that in this round, thanks to the support of the UK Government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund, the Hrant Dink Foundation in partnership with Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre will be offering support in the form of a travel grant to a total of 15 individuals – 7 from Armenia, 8 from Turkey – for their visits to the neighbouring country with specific purpose and programme. Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant 13th Round Grantees

Harutyun Chkolyan, Artur Baljyan and Vigen Hovsepyan from Yerevan, musicians of Vigen Hovsepyan band, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Istanbul for making folk concerts with the help of local artists from “A Corner in the World”, as well as organising performance for the Armenian community with the support of the Armenian Patriarchate.

Onur Yazıcıgil from Istanbul, faculty member of Sabancı University, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for holding workshops at TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in Yerevan on creating illustrated storybooks.

Azmi Recep Özdaş from Eskişehir, a sociology PhD student, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for conducting a comparative research about queer identity and construction of memory  in post-Soviet Armenia and Turkey.

Nvard Margaryan from Abovyan and Kyle Khandikian from Yerevan, members of PINK Armenia and Lusine Davtyan from Yerevan, artist from Queering Yerevan Collective, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Ankara for participating and screening films in the 7th QueerFest film festival organised by PINK Life LGBTI Solidarity Association.

Loghman Saeidian and Rounak Rasoulpour, artists from Diyarbakır, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for meeting with artists and civil society organisations as well as meetingYezidi community  of Armenia for organising a future joint project.  

Rabia Aslı Koruyucu from Istanbul, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan forsharing her academic research on gender issues at a round-table discussion and talk series organised by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor.  

Özlem Karakuş from Istanbul, a PhD candidate from Bilgi University, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for studying Armenian laments as a part of the Cultural Memory of Turks and Armenians.

Aslı Bostancı from Istanbul, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for performing her choreography in One Square Meter Festival, 2017.

Tahir Ün from Izmir, director and curator of Videoart.Ist International Video Program, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Yerevan for making a conceptual art project and screening two video selections in collaboration with Art and Cultural Studies Laboratory (Art Commune).

Meri Amirkhanyan from Yerevan, artist and founder of VisualGap online gallery, will be supported with Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant to visit Istanbul for the solo exhibition of the paintings and drawings of her CITY series and printing a catalogue with the same images.
